Shave the area 24 hours before treatment. Avoid sun exposure for two weeks, do not wax or pluck hair, avoid retinoids for 3–5 days, and come with clean skin free of lotions or deodorant.

Mild redness or warmth is normal and fades within a few hours. For the first 24 hours, avoid hot showers, exercise, saunas, and direct sun exposure. Hair will shed over the next 7–14 days.
